The short version
- Prismfall is free. Flux, Aether and Prisms have no real-world value and can't be bought, sold or exchanged.
- Your guest account lives on your device — clear the app's data and that progress is gone for good.
- Play fair: no cheats, bots, exploits, modified clients or account trading.
- Be decent in chat. No harassment or hate speech. You can report or block any player in the app, and we moderate callsigns and messages.
- Raids you take part in can be watched live by the players involved and their squads, and are saved as replays.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the Prismfall team (“we”, “us”, “our”) and govern your use of the Prismfall app, our game servers and real-time services, and this website (together, the “Service”). By installing, opening or playing Prismfall, or by using the website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old — or the minimum age required to use online services without parental consent in your country, if that is higher — to use the Service. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use the Service only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so by applicable law or if we have previously banned your account.
3. Your license to play
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable license to install and use the Prismfall app on devices you own or control, and to access the Service, for your own non-commercial entertainment.
Except where the law expressly allows it, you may not: copy, modify, translate or create derivative works of the Service; decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer it; sell, rent, lend or redistribute it; use it for any commercial purpose; or remove any copyright or proprietary notices.
4. Guest accounts
Prismfall uses guest accounts. The first time you open the app, it creates an account tied to a random identifier stored on your device. There is no email address or password.
Your progress is tied to your device. If you clear the app's data, uninstall the app, reset or lose your device, or move to a new one, your progress will be lost and cannot be recovered — we have no way to verify who owned a guest account.
You are responsible for all activity that happens through your account and device. Accounts are personal: you may not share, sell, buy, transfer or lend them. You may delete your account at any time (see our account deletion page).
5. Virtual items and currencies
The Service includes in-game resources and currencies — Flux, Aether and Prisms — as well as buildings, units, trophies, shields and other virtual items (together, “Virtual Items”).
- Virtual Items are licensed to you, not sold, and you do not own them. Your license to them ends when your account is deleted or terminated.
- Virtual Items have no real-world monetary value. They cannot be purchased with real money, and cannot be sold, traded, transferred, exchanged or redeemed for money, goods or anything else of value, whether inside or outside the Service.
- Prisms are earned only through gameplay. Any offer to sell or buy Prisms, resources or accounts is a violation of these Terms.
- We may manage, rebalance, modify or remove Virtual Items — for example in balance updates, to fix bugs, or to reverse items gained through cheating or exploits — without any liability to you.
6. Fair play and prohibited conduct
Prismfall is a competitive multiplayer game, and our servers check the deployments and results of every raid. To keep it fair and fun, you agree not to:
- Use cheats, hacks, trainers, or any software that modifies or interferes with the game or gives you an unfair advantage.
- Exploit bugs, glitches or design errors — please report them to us instead.
- Use bots, scripts, macros or other automation to play, farm resources or interact with our servers.
- Use a modified, unofficial or reverse-engineered client, or tamper with, intercept, forge or replay network traffic or battle submissions.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers or networks, including by overloading them, probing them for vulnerabilities or bypassing rate limits and other protections.
- Buy, sell, trade, share or transfer accounts or Virtual Items, or offer to do so.
- Deliberately manipulate matchmaking or leaderboards, for example by colluding with other players or intentionally losing trophies to another account.
- Harass, bully, threaten, stalk or intimidate other players.
- Post hate speech or content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or any similar characteristic.
- Post sexual, violent, illegal, defamatory or otherwise objectionable content, spam or advertising.
- Share another person's personal information, or impersonate another person, another player or the Prismfall team.
- Use offensive or misleading callsigns, squad names, tags or descriptions.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
If you break these rules, we may — depending on how serious the violation is — issue a warning, mute your chat, reset your callsign, remove Virtual Items or trophies, invalidate battles, or suspend or permanently ban your account.
7. Your content and moderation
“User Content” means anything you create or submit through the Service, including your callsign, squad names, tags and descriptions, and chat messages. You keep any rights you have in your User Content. To run the game, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit and moderate your User Content as part of operating, providing and improving the Service. This license ends when your User Content is deleted, except where it has already been shown to other players or must be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for your User Content and confirm that you have the right to post it and that it complies with these Terms. We are not obliged to monitor User Content, but we may review, filter, remove or refuse any of it, rename callsigns or squads, and mute players, at our discretion — especially to enforce section 6. To report abuse, tap Report on the player's pilot card or long-press their chat message in the app, or email support@prismfall.example with the player's callsign and what happened. You can also Block a player to hide their chat messages from you.
8. Live raids and replays
When you raid another player or are raided, the battle may be streamed live to the defender and to the squad mates of either player, and it is stored as a replay that the participants and their squad mates can watch. Your base layout is shown to the players who raid you. By playing, you agree to this as an essential part of the game.
Not every opponent is another player: matchmaking also offers computer-controlled practice citadels, which the game labels “Bot”.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time, and you can delete your account in the app under Profile → Delete account.
We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if needed to protect the Service or other players. Where reasonable, we will tell you why. When your account ends, your license and any Virtual Items end with it, and your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections 5, 7 and 12 to 18 survive termination.
10. Availability and changes to the Service
Prismfall is a live online game in early access. It requires an internet connection, and it may sometimes be unavailable — for maintenance, updates, outages or reasons beyond our control. We may change, add or remove features and content, rebalance gameplay, require you to install updates, and — particularly during early access — reset game progress, giving notice in the app where reasonably possible. We may also discontinue the Service, in which case we will try to give reasonable advance notice.
11. Third-party services
You may obtain Prismfall through third-party platforms such as Google Play, and you use it on devices and networks provided by others. Their own terms and policies also apply to your use of them, and they are not responsible for the Service. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.
12. Intellectual property
The Service — including its software, code, artwork, designs, audio, text, names and logos — is owned by the Prismfall team or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license in section 3, these Terms do not give you any rights in it. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them freely and without any obligation to you.
13. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that game data will never be lost.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract under the laws of the country where you live.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Prismfall team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, game progress or Virtual Items, arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us to use the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose — which, because Prismfall is free, is normally zero — or (b) USD 50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions or limitations, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Prismfall team from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party. This section does not apply to consumers in jurisdictions where such obligations are not permitted.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where the Prismfall team is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that place have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. However, if you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts there.
Before starting any formal proceedings, please contact us at support@prismfall.example and give us at least 30 days to try to resolve the issue informally. Most concerns can be sorted out quickly this way.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date, and for material changes we will notify you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree with them, stop using the Service and delete your account.
18. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
- Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest of these Terms stays in effect.
- No waiver. If we don't enforce a provision, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a reorganisation, merger or sale of the Service.
- Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for failures or delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
